Understanding & Managing Anxiety

This is an engaging and interactive workshop is designed specifically for children aged 9 - 11 years.

Through relatable stories, fun puppet characters, and hands-on activities, children will learn about their brain and the role their emotional center plays in creating worry and anxiety.

They’ll learn practical, age-appropriate strategies to understand and manage their emotions, fostering a sense of confidence and calm.

This workshop blends fun, education, and practical skills to create a safe and supportive space for children to learn to embrace their unique role in the vast web of life

Workshop Benefits

  • Empowers children with tools to understand and manage their worries.

  • Normalizes different ways of feeling and responding, encouraging self-confidence and empathy.

  • Provides practical strategies children can use both at school and at home.

  • Helps children feel understood, supported, and equipped to tackle their challenges.

The workshop ends with a soothing, multi-sensory visualization designed to help children become calm and find their safe space.

The guided sensory visualisation draws together the four key techniques which I have found to be the most effective in working one-to-one with children in my private practice.

Teachers will receive a recording of the guided visualization to play each morning in the classroom.

Research shows that consistent practice over time helps lower anxiety thresholds and broaden childrens’ windows of tolerance, equipping them with the resilience to navigate challenges with greater ease and calm.
