Understanding & Easing Big Feelings

This interactive workshop is designed specifically for children aged 4–7, using storytelling, vibrant visuals, and lovable puppet characters to bring emotional learning to life.

What Children Will Gain

  • A Stronger Emotional Vocabulary – Helping little ones put words to their big feelings.

  • Practical Tools for Self-Regulation – Simple, effective strategies to calm overwhelming emotions.

  • A Deeper Sense of Empathy – Understanding their own emotions and recognizing feelings in others.

  • A Foundation for Lifelong Emotional Wellbeing – Building resilience and confidence from an early age.

Fun Characters

Through playful, engaging activities, children discover how their brains process emotions and learn easy techniques to navigate their feelings in a way that’s fun, memorable, and empowering.

This workshop makes big emotions feel manageable—giving children the tools to express themselves with confidence and calm.

A Calming Conclusion

The workshop concludes with a soothing, multi-sensory guided visualization designed to help children find their inner calm and safe space.

This expertly crafted visualization integrates the four most effective techniques I’ve used in one-to-one psychotherapy sessions with children, making it a powerful tool for regulating emotions and reducing anxiety.

To ensure lasting impact, teachers will receive a recording of the guided visualization, which can be played each morning in the classroom.

Why This Matters

  • Research-backed – Regular practice lowers anxiety thresholds, helping children stay calm and focused.

  • Expands emotional resilience – Strengthens children’s ability to handle stress and challenges with greater ease.

  • Supports whole-school wellbeing – A simple, effective routine that fosters a more regulated, engaged learning environment.

By embedding this daily calming practice, schools can create a supportive and emotionally balanced atmosphere, where every child has the tools to manage their emotions and thrive.
